Almost 2 years ago I was approved to photograph Judas Priest at The Factory in the Deep Ellum section of downtown Dallas. While I’ve never been much of a metal fan, everyone goes crazy to Judas Priest. You can’t help but appreciate their story and history. It was certainly an honor to witness them so close and wow, I’ll get to do it again for the show on Oct 26th at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX. (tickets)
The last show in Dallas (Nov 25th, 2022) they opened with Electric Eye, Riding the Wind and I got to close out my 3 songs with my personal favorite You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’.
In looking at setlist.fm, I’ll still get You Got Another Thing Comin’ but will get to see Panic Attack and Rapid Fire up close and personal this time around. Panic Attack, if you have to ask, “what the hell”, is from their 2024 release Invincible Shield.
You see, not only is the band still going strong with tours, but they are putting out new music for fans. This is a band at formed in 1969 and today, 2024, are still on the road doing what they do best.
Halford has simply not missed a beat. At 73, no he doesn’t have the same moves, but the sound – lord that legendary sound – is as strong as ever. Looking forward to my (3) songs in the pit to be sure! Hollar at me if you see me there and then get ready to metal up and enjoy one HELL of a show!
