This weekend the PBR stomped into Arlington Tx at AT&T Stadium for the WinStar World Casino and Resort PBR Global Cup USA 2020 presented by Monster Energy. This was my third year to get to come out and cover the event and I can not think my friends at PBR enough for their kindness and hospitality. I strongly recommend if you see PBR coming to your area to check it out! Now on to the overview of the weekend events.
In Day 1, Team USA Eagles took the lead last night after an very amazing ride by Jess Lockwood who delivered a massive 88.5-point ride atop Red Dawn. Could the team keep that lead and take home the horns when over? Yes! They did in fact stay in first for the remainder of the competition. This brought the first ever win on home soil for a Global Cup event. Jess Longwood had two 8 second rides with a total of 178.75 of the teams 523.75 points.
Coming in a very strong second for the weekend was Team Canada with a very impressive 514.5 points with great rides from Two-time PBR Canada Champion Zane Lambert, Jake Gardner and Jordan Hansen bringing in 259.75 of those points! This is a team to keep an eye on that is for sure.
