What accomplishment will Obama run on in this election? I have asked this for nearly a year and have never had a liberal answer it.

Not a crazy loon lib, but I will take a shot.
1. He paid his taxes trying to set a good example for his employees that refuse to pay theirs.
2. Arming terror groups in the middle east and drug cartels in Mexico. The additional sales equal more tax revenue.
3. I appreciate all the beautiful pictures of his family on vacation. My next trip is Spain.
4. The additional $5 trillion in debt we will not have to worry about. It's our kids problem, and we are getting the huge benefits of all that spending.
5. The Volt...at least the ones that do not catch on fire.
6. More gardeners.

There's a reason his approval rating is around 45 percent and his disapproval rating is usually higher. Historically, that's a death knell for the reelection chances of incumbents; however, we still aren't seeing its impact in the polling. Obama still leads Romney nationally and in most battleground states.
Reaganomics had four simple principles: lower marginal tax rates, less regulation, restrained government spending, noninflationary monetary policy. Though Reagan did not achieve all of his goals, he made good progress. -- Milton Friedman
This is going to be a mess either way. An unrestrained Obama is a terrifying option, and Romney is not exactly a strong conservative. If Romney pulls it off, which I doubt, the train wreck of an economy he will have to deal with is going to present significant challenges.

He will run on different accomplishments in different states, even different cities - the Obama campaign has made some huge strides in targeted campaigning. In places like Northern Ohio there will be a focus on the auto bailout. In more conservative areas that are less receptive to the accomplishments in the social realm (supporting gay marriage, repealing DADT, signing equal pay legislation, etc.) his campaign will probably focus on success in foreign policy, namely the killings of OBL and other high-priority targets. In liberal areas, the campaign will focus on the social issues in an attempt to increase donations and turnout. In college areas, they will focus on Pell Grant reform and student loan reform.
All of those things are important to different groups and targeted campaigning will seek to maximize exposure to the specific achievements that a given group views favorably.
I honest to GOD hope that is how he tries to pull this off because everything you just mentioned with the exception of killing Bin Laden will be destroyed by Romney and his staff. And even the OBL thing as it turns out is wrought with issues. Supporting Gay marriage btw, is not an accomplishment. In the college realm, they are going to talk about student loan reform when the prospects of them getting a job goes down with each passing month? He has had ZERO accomplishments that he can run on that won't be utterly and completely destroyed by Romney.
But at least someone has taken a swing at this.
Don't under estimate the power of delusion. Re-electing a President on those ridiculous precepts is entirely possible, especially considering he was also elected on ridiculous precepts. He rode in on 'not being Bush', a 'slogan' and the chance to give people the impression they are 'a part of an historical moment'.
Meanwhile the economy is still in the crapper, there's a diffused goal concerning all that cluster fuck in the Mid East and the guy (and his party) has zero class.
