I used to rack up infractions pretty regular over there, until I figured out how you could insult another poster withing the rules... call him an idiot, and you'll get an infraction... say his opinion is idiotic, and you're golden...

i don't ban people for arguing or calling each other names.
I'm glad to hear that, you miserable, rotten... oh wait a sec, you invited me... never mind...

The chances of everybody getting along went down the toilet when you created this particular forum...

I'd like to know one thing, though; how stringent is the cuss filter in here?? LOL...

I think of myself as center-left, actually... polls tell me that the views I hold are quite similar to most Americans'...

Lost in all this is whether or not so-called "fat taxes" actually work.
Reaganomics had four simple principles: lower marginal tax rates, less regulation, restrained government spending, noninflationary monetary policy. Though Reagan did not achieve all of his goals, he made good progress. -- Milton Friedman

I don't know of that's the right question here; this is more about portion control. Sure the same amount of soda is available to someone who wants to buy multiple bottles but there is a loss of convenience. The real question is whether or not capping portions can curb consumption even when availability remains static.

I'm not sure if that's been studied.

Sure am glad I plan on never visiting Noo Yawk again... once when I was 16 was more than enough, thank you; I can't imagine it's gotten any better over the last 40-odd years... I've always said that if the good Lord wanted to give the world an enema, Noo Yawk's where he'd stick the nozzle...

I guess to a certain extent, I'm a libertarian too... not enough to support that loon Ron Paul, though...
You'll probably hate this, but New York was awesome under Giuliani. That Republican bastard took the filthy mess of Koch and Dinkins and made it into a great place to visit again.
I haven't been in some time, so I don't know how his successors have faired, but it was a pleasure visiting the city in the 90's

Oh, and Ron Paul all the way! (Though he isn't going to get the nomination).

Non-existent apparently. I have tested it repeatedly with erd/maso.
