Band names, we know all too well about them. You either love them, you hate them or they outright confuse you. Sometimes though it seems like the band name maybe a bit prophetic. From Slaves To Kings would seem to be one these bands. A Denver area indie band that seems destined to stay on the road of becoming a national household name.

Everyone has their own definition of what makes the combination of members who form a band attain perfection. With the current lineup of From Slaves To Kings, I’d venture to say they’ve come as close as I’ve ever seen. Jason does his vocals with a precision that leaves you feeling the emotion inflected with every word. As for the rest of the band, you can tell they have a love for what they do. Why I say this is their musicianship is on point and nothing short of amazing.

When it comes to their music, all I can say is it’s amazing. Every one of their songs is very relatable and definitely draws the listeners in. The track that seems to be getting most word of mouth is, Superman Is Gone. Within the last few days, the video for this single was released. It was locally recorded by Fifty Mill Films. The video concept and the quality of the video makes it one that could easily compete with mainstream bands videos you see on such stations as MTV. If you haven’t seen the video yet, DO IT! It’s currently featured as The Renegade Video Of The Month. Personally, I like this song, but my favorite would have to be Born Again. The band covers all the bases, from more edgy rock to ballad like music with the same talent and precision on every track. To say the least, there is a HUGE reason why radio, fans and publications alike love these guys!

The band is well traveled to say the least. Whether it be on a local aspect of nationally. Their manager Allen Madsen keeps them busy with a lot of local shows from Colorado Springs Union Station to Denver’s own Black Sheep. They even have a small Cali tour under their belt, in which they played the world famous Whisky A Go Go. In 2011, they also won awards for not surprisingly: The Best Rock band and Best Vocalist for Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. I highly look forward to seeing this band be able to get out and do more national touring, as I look for the world to love these guys very soon.

Lately, I’ve been fortunate enough to find a mass of talented bands from various scenes across the U.S. It makes me happy and is a huge sign of pride that even though the economy is suffering, the bands are stilling holding strong. From Slaves To Kings is one of those bands that you’re definitely glad to have found. I say this because I’m speaking from personal feeling too. These guys are both talented in what they do and very down to earth individuals. Well worth the support of everyone they come across. I look forward to seeing what the road ahead has in store for the guys. So in closing, I recommend you go check these guys out. Very good band to say the least. Their music speaks for itself. Go support these guys and the many others that keep music going! You will definitely not be disappointed and I highly recommend you buy their album!
