    Akin flub puts abortion at center of campaign debate



    Yes, because the debate should not be about the milking of our treasury for 38 Billion worth of 'Foreign Aid'. The debate should not be about the dismal job of allaying the deficit, nor about the trodden rights of our citizens. It should be about this tired, lost cause of a hot button issue. And it will be. Don't be surprised when your candidate wins and nothing about our decline really changes.

    This is what he said. Compare it to Clair Mccaskill's record. Stupid to say? Yes. Worse than the dismal record of Mccaskill. Not by a long shot.

    VTA - The media will run with this type of crap to divert from the real issues. It's what they do.

    U.S. Rep. Todd Akin, R-Missouri, said Sunday he misspoke when he said in an earlier interview that "legitimate rape" rarely resulted in pregnancy. Akin also expressed opposition to abortion in cases of rape.

    It doesn't matter. The fact that it will be in the center of discussion, while pertinent problems will be ignored is all that needs be said. The words out of his dopey mouth could have been anything, neither side would have talked about the state of things and the wrong path this entire nation is on.
