This is a topic I've debated with folks before and wanted to get the pulse of what folks around here thought.
I know many states have banned cell phones while driving but not all have yet.
What do you all think?

if you have blue tooth and can do "hands free" it doesn't bother me that much. my car stereo has bluetooth and when i get a call it comes in over the stereo and through my speakers so i'm talking to someone in the care more or less.
for the less elaborate, a headset is cheap. there is ZERO EXCUSE in my mind to have a phone to your ear while driving. when behind the wheel your job is to get from point a to point b w/o killing anyone. talking on the phone like you're at home raises that risk to me.
plus the fucks can't drive like that and they get in my way all the time weaving all over the place. :)

I noticed on Frankford by my home there are signs now that read "Wireless communication devices prohibited". Not the "use of" ... the devices themselves ... if one takes the sign literally.![]()

Well, safety is important. I just agree not to use cellphones while driving to prevent accidents.
Um...it's bad? I think that is a no brainer. All my vehicles have built in hands free capabilities. Holding a phone in one hand, a burger in the other, and steering with your knees is not a wise idea. I am not sure another law is what is needed. Distracted driving is already illegal, but lazy politicians and an ignorant public will clamor for new laws anyway.
Lets try enforcing the current law before wasting time and money creating more redundant laws.
When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it. --Frederic Bastiat
