Not that I want to abolish the police, but if I had a proverbial gun to my head and had to choose between A) citizens able to arm themselves but no police force or B) a police force but a disarmed citizenry, I'd choose A without hesitation. So thanks, Mayor "Assault Soda Ban" Bloomberg. I'll miss those speeding tickets.

Of course you don't understand. Differing opinions and ideologies are alien thoughts to people like you. We know you don't understand, which is why you want to do things by a subversive force of law." I don't understand why police officers across this country don't stand up, collectively, and say, 'We're going to go on strike. We're not going to protect you unless you, the public, through your legislature, do what's required to keep us safe."
what could be done through the legislature that a criminal won't bypass anyway?
THEY'RE A CRIMINAL! they don't mind breaking the law. you want to deter gun crimes, then punish those QUICKLY who commit them.

You shut your mouth when you're talking to me, boy!
They know. It's not atom splitting; the point is simply an excuse to lessen citizens power while strengthening their own.
Really, how many cops across this country are pro-gun? The suggestion isn't even logical or possible by the numbers. Only by a concentration of power to the few.
Imagine a city mayor encouraging his police force to walk out.Oh wait, we don't have to imagine that. What a freakin' moron!
If there was a ever cause for a recall vote, this is it.
