What's interesting or more like ironic, or more adequately, fucking horrifying is that this is what 'change' was supposed to replace. If memory servers, Bush was going to introduce martial law and all sorts of stepping upon our personal freedoms, capitalizing on 9/11. Anyone else remember all those erudite op-ed pieces, flaming articles, or is it just me?

Change seems to be synonymous with inflicting what we'd accused our opponents of doing.
