Normally I suscribe to the old adage "you can't lose your job to injury" but Felix is clearly out-classed by this kid. Sure, Felix is faster in a straight line, but Murray has vision that is really rare, and a uncanny ability to slip tackles. Felix can be the situational back until he proves he can stay on the field, and find his niche.

i think felix should go back to being a 'chagne of pace' back but even then, murray just gets it done. i dont think the OL was much different when jones was healthy but our new fullback - when did we get him? he's been critical in murrays success near as i can tell.
when we drafted murray i was like WTF? i didn't think RB was a position of need but even at that, i was not unhappy to get murray. i called an OU friend of mine and he was happy for us saying we got one hell of a back. so far i'd have to agree.
8 games remaining, any chance he tops 1000 yards?
80 carries, 539 yards. that's 461 yards needed in 8 regular season games left. He only needs to average 58 yards a game to get it done. what is our rookie RB record?

There is absolutely no reason to take Murray from a starting role. None.

i'd let felix return kicks and be a relief back, put him in what he's good at.

I have to second what DaveInNC said. Absolutely no reason to let Murray come out of the game unless we are purposely resting him or have a big enough of a lead where Tanner needs some reps...then Felix. Sorry, I'd rather see Felix in the game only if he comes out of the backfield in motion and lines up as a Wideout. Felix is not a strong runner... He needs space and can't create his own like DeMarco or Phillip Tanner.

PS...Is that DaveInNC as in the ole' Dallas Morning News Forum guy?? The same one whom was pushing that certain player from his state earlier in the decade??

I'm not really sure if he returned kicks in college, but didn't he do so with the Cowboys?

Tis I:cap:
I check Jimmy's twitter account every so often (ok, every day). He's also on the Murray should start bandwagon as am I. Unfortunately, Jerry has still declined to name him as the starter; he just said there would be enough work for the two of them.
Aside from the fact that Murray deserves the bulk of the carries, I'm concerned with how effective he'd be if he just ran it sporadically. He seems like a guy who needs to be in the flow of the game. Emmitt was sorta like that--he'd often start off slow and then hit his groove. I hope they don't screw up a good thing. There's no question that Murray's production has made Romo even more of a threat.

i think our biggest fear is that jones will screw up the obvious.
jones will do what he has to do to be loyal and that is usually more than rabid fans can take.
he cut choice over tanner because of work, output and production.
i also don't care what jones says, garrett is driving and he won't stop what is working.

I keep hoping jerry will stand a little too close to the ball carrier during tackling drills. Hoping Lee will be doing the drill.
