Why would NAZIs throw their lot in with Communists? Why not? They do it every time. Only after the old order is officially dead do they then fight over the spoils and control of the state. Until then, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". You could ask Poland how that generally works out for those neither Communist or NAZI..
