Twisted's Top 10 of 2016!

Twisted's Top 10 of 2016!

Hey Everybody! Every now and again I get around to writing a thing. I most certainly should do so more often, but, reasons. So let's get on with it shall we?For some, 2016 was a Steaming pile of Horseshit. It seemed like everybody lost at least one or two idols with the Grim Reaper claiming so many celebrities. The media catastrophe that was the U.S. Presidential Election stressed everybody out. We won't even bring up Brexit. Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad left a LOT of us hardcore fans disappointed, but they still killed the box office. There were a few good things that came out of 2...

The Twisted One Returns

The Twisted One Returns
I've been working with RenegadeRadio.net now for a bit over 9 years now, in one form or another. I Originally started out Wednesday afternoons back in the summer of 2007, as I was working a 3rd shift job and that seemed like primetime for me.. "Grave Disorder" it was called. Had a decent run, but then had to step away for personal reasons (Because, Life happens.)Came back and started again 12-25-2009. Decided to take over Friday nights. Had another good run, Got to do some really kickass interviews (Including Dommin, Acey Slade, Ville Valo, Rudi Protrudi of The Fuzztones), and then once again ...

craving strange - a life exceptional

"Dirty Rock" kicks off the release with one hell of a groove.. You can't help but want to dance in your seat with that deep, gutteral bass line from Tommy Wendt.. Then it's all guns blazing as  you've got the Anthem-like "Your Last Day Alive". "Here and Gone" is one that sticks out as well  - Catchy rhythm & Passionate lyrics all in a tight package. Then there's the title track, "A Life Exceptional" which SCREAMS crowd-pleaser - and that's not a bad thing. "Do You Remember" has possibly some of the most powerful lyrics on the album...

what's in a cover?

what's in a cover?
But to make an entire career out of blatantly emulating - actually, I'm going to go with Impersonating - what was already done? Well,  I just don't get. Sure you can go to Vegas, get married by (or even To) Elvis, Have Marilyn Monroe sing "Happy Birthday" to you.. Or even catch a never-aging Beatles as they sing their classic set from the Ed Sullivan show, so many years ago. you can go to your local dive bar, and catch the best Creed tribute band this side of the county.     Maybe I'm having a little difficulty seeing the fine line between art, appreciation & Plagairism?...
