Twisted's Best Of 2017, Part 2: New Finds

twistedtop10-2017-New-Find_20180103-231531_1
We had my favorite albums of 2017 , but there are also a lot of artists who I fell in love with over the last year, that didin't make THAT list. They still deserve some shout outs! Wake The Sun I caught these guys in NYC early in the year as they opened up for friends in Face The King . I was blown away and immediately talked to guitarist, Tommy, to find more information about them – Which they were actually from Long Island. Fast forward to the summer and we featured these guys on a show case and will most certainly be doing the same in 2018! Streepthroat This is another band I happened to ca...

Twisted's Best Of 2017 Part 1: EP's/Albums

twistedtop10-2017-EP_20180103-232056_1
So, Who thought 2016 sucked? 2017 had SO much potential, Just when we didn’t think things could get much worse.  In retrospect, 2017 most definitely had it’s ups and downs. On The political spectrum, all kinds of crazy stuff happened. Movie-wise, We finally got a version of spider-man that was AWESOME, Wonder Woman finally graced the silver screen (And killed it!), while the Justice League did Not, AND we had another adventure in a Galaxy far, far away as Star Wars: The Last Jedi certainly changed the landscape of the entire franchise. That all being said, there was also a LOT of really g...

How a shitty Batman Movie changed my Life.

batman-forever-cinema-one-sheet-movie-poster-1
I'll be honest. When "Batman Forever" came out, I was hyped. I was 12 years old and I couldn’t get enough of it. Today, after watching it again for the first time in years: Jim Carrey 's Riddler is holy annoying and Tommy Lee Jones ' Two-Face was just.. Bad. I wasn't a huge Val Kilmer fan, either (And we won't talk about Chris O'Donnel 's Robin.) There were so many ways that Joel Shumacher just went completely wrong. That being said - Years later I look back and i still stand by it legit has one of the *BEST* Soundtracks. It intrduced me to Nick Cave. It also made me look up The Offspring 's c...

Scandroid - "Monochrome" Review

Scandroid_Monochrome_cover-1000x1000
Scandroid “ Monochrome ” Review Editor's note: I totally realized i had stated the self-titled debut album was 2017. That is incorrect, as it was released in 2016. Fixed! - Sean Let me start off by saying – I’m a Scandroid fan. There’s nothing I didn’t love about his self titled release in 2016, or the multiple remix albums that followed.  I’ll consider myself a die-hard since The Scandroid project, at least, has been in full swing.  Yes, I’ve picked up every single, and all the goodies.  So, sure, you could group me in with  “Fanboys” if you will, before continuing on, as ...

Craving Strange - "Careful Of The Landmines" Review

Craving Strange - "Careful Of The Landmines" Review
Four years ago, in a bar somewhere out in eastern Long Island, I happened upon a tattooed singer from Indiana, whose band had just finished tearing the place up. We spoke for a few minutes, and then went our separate ways. Less than a year later, They held a record release party on Feb 28 th , 2014 at Revolution in Amityville, New York,  that we simulcasted here on Renegade Radio, for the world to hear – changing the course of our New York (And East Coast) endeavors forever. The title of that record was “A Life Exceptional” and the Singer's name is Jimmy G, of the band Craving Strange . 3...

Twisted's Top 10 of 2016!

Twisted's Top 10 of 2016!
Hey Everybody!  Every now and again I get around to writing a thing. I most certainly should do so more often, but, reasons. So let's get on with it shall we? For some, 2016 was a Steaming pile of Horseshit. It seemed like everybody lost at least one or two idols with the Grim Reaper claiming so many celebrities. The media catastrophe that was the U.S. Presidential Election stressed everybody out. We won't even bring up Brexit. Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad left a LOT of us hardcore fans disappointed, but they still killed the box office. There were a few good things that came out o...

The Twisted One Returns

The Twisted One Returns
I've been working with RenegadeRadio.net now for a bit over 9 years now, in one form or another. I Originally started out Wednesday afternoons back in the summer of 2007, as I was working a 3rd shift job and that seemed like primetime for me.. "Grave Disorder" it was called. Had a decent run, but then had to step away for personal reasons (Because, Life happens.) Came back and started again 12-25-2009. Decided to take over Friday nights. Had another good run, Got to do some really kickass interviews (Including Dommin, Acey Slade, Ville Valo, Rudi Protrudi of The Fuzztones), and then once again...
